 Staffordshire Shugborough Estate

Seat of the Earls of Lichfield, the house at Shugborough was enlarged c.1750 and again at the turn of the 19th century and contains interesting collections of china, silver, paintings and furniture. Extensive servants' quarters include a working kitchen and laundry and nearby a brewery. In the parkland is the model farm (1805) with working watermill, kitchens and dairy, and rare breeds of farm animal. Eight major monuments adorn the wider landscape.
