Forget about the literary ‘Bloomsbury Group’ as you roam through the UCL campus and leafy squares of this part of Georgian London with Professor David Singmaster as your guide. The giants of science and medicine made discoveries in Bloomsbury that changed the world for ever and the area is awash in scientific landmarks and milestones, as well as some quirky museums.
Time: 2.5 hours. Distance: 2 kilometres.

Do this walk on a weekday if possible, preferably in the afternoons when the museums are open. Some buildings may be closed at weekends.
